Your child should be attending regular eye tests – any problems could affect their education

As with many health and medical conditions, the earlier an eye problem is detected, the more likely treatment is to be successful. But this is particularly relevant when it comes to children’s eye health, as many vision conditions can be improved and even completely corrected before the age of seven.

That’s just one of the reasons why regular eye examinations for your child are so important. Children don’t know whether their vision is ‘normal’ – they are only aware of their own experience of the world – so you can’t rely on them to tell you if they have a problem. Unclear vision can cause headaches and eye strain at school, and even embarrassment if they can’t see the board or focus on a page of text clearly. This could ultimately affect their learning experience and their academic performance if left untreated, but regular eye tests can ensure that their vision is clear and comfortable.
